He who winks with his eye is plotting perversity;
he who purses his lips is bent on evil.
OK, salespeople, this one is for you: shoot straight. If you don’t, eventually you will be busted for sneaky practices.
Food for Thought
Jesus said it this way: “May your ‘yes’ mean ‘yes,’ and your ‘no’ mean ‘no.’ And that’s not just for the salespeople. Don’t bend the truth; no telling of little white lies. Shoot straight, deal fairly, tell the truth. That’s not my take on life, that’s God’s.
Do you tend to bend a little here, bend a little there, when it comes to telling it like is? If you do, then STOP IT. Consider this from Proverbs 6:
There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
How many of these sins involve lying? Now go and lie no more…
